Dr. Aamer Jamali specializes in interventional cardiology, including structural heart disease. His approach is entirely patient-centered. He ensures that his patient’s interests are first and foremost at all times.
Dr. Jamali was motivated to go into cardiology at a young age as he watched his father recover from bypass surgery. After graduating with the highest honors from The University of California, Berkeley, he proceeded to UCLA School of Medicine, where he was part of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He chose Stanford University for his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine. He did fellowships in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he also served as Chief Fellow.
Throughout his career, Dr. Jamali has authored multiple peer-reviewed scientific papers and book chapters and has been invited to speak at international cardiology conferences. He currently serves as an assistant clinical professor of medicine at UCLA School of Medicine and an affiliate of the Smidt Heart Institute at Cedars-Sinai. Dr. Jamali is also the secretary of a non-profit medical group, SBMAA, and in this role participates in yearly international medical missions.
